Some operating noise is normal with a compressor wine cooler.
The Subcold INTEGRA30, INTEGRA60 and INTEGRA60-DZ all use a compressor cooling system, so you may hear the appliance operating as it cools and regulates the internal temperature.
The published operating noise levels are approximately:
INTEGRA30 – 38 dB
INTEGRA60 – 37 dB
INTEGRA60-DZ – 39 dB
Normal Operating Sounds
You may occasionally hear:
A low humming sound while the compressor is running
A brief click when the cooling system starts or stops
Gentle vibration
Refrigerant-flow, bubbling or gurgling sounds
Changes in operating sound as the cooling cycle starts or finishes
These sounds can be more noticeable in a quiet room.
Check the Appliance Is Level
Excessive vibration can occur if the cooler is not installed on a firm, flat and level surface.
Check the adjustable feet and make sure the unit is stable.
The appliance may be tilted slightly backwards so that the door closes correctly, but it should not rock or wobble.
Check the Shelves
Make sure each shelf is correctly positioned within its runners or grooves.
A loose or incorrectly fitted shelf may vibrate while the compressor is operating.
Also check that bottles are not touching one another in a way that causes rattling.
Check the Surrounding Cabinet
For built-in installations, make sure the cooler has the required 5 mm ventilation clearance at both sides and the rear.
The appliance should not be pressed tightly against surrounding furniture in a way that transfers vibration.
When to Contact Support
Contact Subcold Customer Service if you hear:
Repeated loud banging
Grinding or scraping
Continuous heavy vibration
Rapid repeated clicking
A significant increase in operating noise
Noise accompanied by poor cooling
