The Subcold VINO wine cooler is fitted with a digital control panel that allows you to operate the interior light, change the display between Celsius and Fahrenheit, unlock the controls, and adjust the selected temperature.

Turning the Interior Light On or Off

The interior light is controlled using the light button on the control panel.

To operate the light:

  1. Press the light button once to switch the interior light on.

  2. Press the same button again to switch it off.

The light is manually controlled and may not switch on automatically when the door is opened.

Changing Between Celsius and Fahrenheit

The temperature display can be changed between:

  • Celsius (°C)

  • Fahrenheit (°F)

To change the display unit:

  1. Locate the light button on the control panel.

  2. Press and hold the light button for approximately 3 seconds.

  3. Release the button when the display changes to the required temperature unit.

Holding the light button changes the display unit, while pressing it briefly operates the interior light.

Automatic Control-Panel Lock

The VINO wine cooler has an automatic control-panel lock.

The controls will lock approximately 30 seconds after the last button is pressed. This helps prevent accidental changes to the temperature setting.

If the buttons do not respond, the control panel may simply be locked.

Unlocking the Control Panel

To unlock the controls:

  1. Press and hold the up and down arrow buttons together.

  2. Continue holding both buttons for approximately 3 seconds.

  3. A beep will sound to confirm that the control panel is active.

Once unlocked, the temperature setting can be adjusted.

The controls will automatically lock again after approximately 30 seconds without any button activity.

Setting the Temperature

Once the control panel has been unlocked:

  1. Press the up arrow to increase the selected temperature.

  2. Press the down arrow to decrease the selected temperature.

  3. Each press changes the selected temperature by 1°C, or the equivalent value when the display is set to Fahrenheit.

  4. Stop pressing the buttons when the required temperature is shown.

The display may briefly show the selected target temperature before returning to the current temperature detected inside the wine cooler.

Allow the Temperature to Stabilise

After changing the setting, allow the wine cooler several hours to reach the selected temperature.

Cooling time can be affected by:

  • The surrounding room temperature

  • The number of bottles inside

  • The temperature of the bottles when loaded

  • How frequently the door is opened

  • The ventilation space around the appliance

For quicker cooling, use pre-chilled bottles where possible and minimise door openings.

The Buttons Are Not Responding

If the control-panel buttons do not respond:

  1. Press and hold the up and down arrow buttons together for 3 seconds.

  2. Listen for the confirmation beep.

  3. Try adjusting the temperature again.

If the panel remains unresponsive:

  1. Switch the appliance off.

  2. Unplug it from the mains power supply.

  3. Leave it disconnected for approximately 10 minutes.

  4. Reconnect the appliance.

  5. Unlock the control panel and try again.

Temperature Display Differs from the Selected Setting

After setting the temperature, the display may return to showing the current internal temperature.

This is normal.

The selected temperature is the target the appliance is working towards, while the displayed temperature shows the temperature currently detected inside the cabinet.

The two readings may differ until the wine cooler has had enough time to stabilise.
